About the Role

The Ivy Hotel is in search of a Concierge to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a proven team player with previous customer service experience, preferably within the hotel industry. This role is central to our mission of delivering outstanding hospitality; you will be the first face guests see, responsible for welcoming, checking in, and checking out guests in an efficient and friendly manner.

In this position, you will utilize a variety of computer systems to manage reservations, monitor room rates, and ensure the reservations and concierge desk is covered at all times. You will work closely with Food and Beverage, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Valet departments to review arrivals and departures, ensuring perfect customer service and satisfaction. Your day will involve resolving guest complaints, handling inquiries regarding hotel services and events, and performing courtesy calls to log responses. You will also assist with evening in-suite dining order taking and delivery, while handling and distributing messages for personnel and guests.

As a key member of the team, you must be detail-oriented, service-oriented, and able to multitask while selling all aspects of the hotel, including rooms, the restaurant, spa, and meeting space. You will uphold The Ivy Standard Operating Procedures, working harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors to assist in various areas during heavy volumes or absences.

Hiring Process

Candidates must possess outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal communication skills. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required. We look for individuals who can focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times. Fluency in English is required, with bi-lingual or multilingual capabilities (Spanish, French) considered a plus.
