About the Role
This internship is designed to immerse you in the heart of retail operations, offering a unique opportunity to learn how to provide an extraordinary customer experience in a dynamic store setting. You will serve as a vital link between the store, its customers, and the broader Walgreens community, gaining hands-on exposure to pharmacy, clinic, and retail management.
As a key member of the team, you will model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Your day will involve engaging with customers and patients, resolving issues, and sharing best practices to ensure everyone leaves with a positive impression. Beyond customer interaction, you will dive into the operational backbone of the store, from managing inventory trends and pricing compliance to assisting with visual merchandising and maintaining a clean, orderly environment.
This role is more than just a job; it is a comprehensive training ground. You will participate in the Intern Team Challenge, presenting your findings to area, district, and store leaders, while shadowing district leaders to understand high-level decision-making. You will also gain exposure to financial and performance data analysis, learning how to identify opportunities to reduce loss and improve efficiency.
