About the Role

The Communications Coordinator is an entry-level role designed to support internal and external communications for the Operating Company. This position is essential for ensuring clear, consistent, and timely messaging across the organization. You will provide day-to-day execution support for executive communications, business updates, and enterprise initiatives while assisting with content creation, social media management, and media relations.

In this role, you will serve as a vital link between leadership and the broader workforce, helping to draft and edit a wide range of materials including emails, newsletters, and web content. You will also be a key member of the Public Information Officer (PIO) team, stepping in during outage and restoration events to help manage communication flow, which may occasionally require evening or weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleDraft, proofread, and edit internal and external communications including emails, newsletters, and social media posts
  • check_circleSupport preparation of executive and leadership communications and coordinate weekly updates
  • check_circleCollect and track inputs from cross-functional partners to support business updates and initiatives
  • check_circleAssist in planning and executing communication campaigns and events aligned with business priorities
  • check_circleMaintain and update internal communication channels, websites, and social media platforms
  • check_circleCoordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of communication materials
  • check_circleMonitor media coverage and employee feedback to compile reports and summaries
  • check_circleTrack performance metrics for communication initiatives and maintain content libraries and contact lists
  • check_circleServe as a member of the Public Information Officer team during outage and restoration events

Requirements

Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content management systems (CMS). Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders at different levels of the organization. Experience using basic graphic or design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark, or Adobe Creative Suite). Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) and performance reporting. Exposure to media relations, media monitoring tools, press release distribution, executive communications, or internal communications support.
