The Communications Clerk plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is at Union Health. This position serves as a vital bridge between technology and patient support, ensuring seamless operations within the hospital's communications center.
In this role, you will operate and monitor hospital computer systems, troubleshoot end-user issues, and provide customer assistance. You will efficiently utilize various communication applications to assist patients, their families, and visitors, while also serving as a dispatcher for hospital security. Additionally, you will manage the Union Hospital Answering Service, contacting physicians and on-call personnel, editing schedules, and handling difficult situations with professionalism. As the first point of contact for technical assistance, you will manage helpdesk tickets, perform remote troubleshooting, and guide customers through problem-solving processes.
