This role resides within the MDC - Behavioral Health department, a critical component of the Clinical Leadership division. The team is dedicated to organizing, administering, and overseeing clinical therapy, social work, and interdisciplinary evaluation programs. The mission is to provide comprehensive care across a diverse patient population, ranging from neonates to geriatric patients, while ensuring strict adherence to hospital and departmental policies.
As a leader in this program, you will provide professional leadership in the delivery of clinical therapeutic services, ensuring alignment with program objectives and clinical guidelines. Your day-to-day involves developing and modifying treatment protocols, conducting clinical evaluations, and managing the daily operations of the organizational unit. You will serve as a bridge between clinical practice and administrative oversight, managing budgets, grants, and compliance with University, State, and federal regulations.
Beyond administrative duties, this position requires active engagement in patient care. You will provide direct consultation, develop rehabilitative therapy programs, and foster a culture of patient safety by proactively identifying risks and encouraging patient participation in their own care. The role also emphasizes collaboration with University, State, and local agencies to enhance services and build capacity through shared knowledge.
Candidates selected for this position will be subject to an annual contract and performance appraisal. The hiring process includes verification of credentials and may involve credentialing by the UNMH Credentialing Committee. Tuberculosis testing is required upon hire and as needed thereafter.
