CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) is a 253-bed facility serving the fastest-growing area of San Antonio. Our specialized care includes orthopedic and surgical services with advanced spine surgery, Intensive Care, complex neurology for stroke and neurovascular issues, comprehensive cardiovascular care, and a dedicated sleep center. The campus also features an Outpatient Imaging Center, an Ambulatory Surgery Center, and four medical plazas, including a Family Medicine Residency Program and Family Health Center.

About the Role

As a Level II Pharmacist at CHRISTUS, you will provide pharmacy services with compassion, excellence, and efficiency. Beyond filling orders and monitoring patient drug therapies, you will actively participate in the management of patient pharmacotherapy and quality medication management within assigned service lines. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a clinical environment, ensuring safe, appropriate, and cost-effective drug therapies for our patients.

You will serve as a key member of the interdisciplinary team, providing clinical consultation to practitioners and delivering drug education to patients and their families. Your day-to-day impact includes managing patient drug therapy through collaborative agreements, overseeing anticoagulation management, and leading transition of care and discharge medication reconciliation efforts. You will also contribute to the advancement of the pharmacy department by precepting residents and students, conducting in-service training for staff, and leading clinical projects annually.

Hiring Process

Candidates are expected to meet specific licensure and certification requirements, including state pharmacy licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and ASHP Residency Preceptor status within defined timelines. The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree, along with a PGY-1 and PGY-2 residency completion, Board certification, or at least five years of hospital experience.
