SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our community. Our nursing team operates as a collaborative unit, working under the supervision of Registered Nurses and alongside other healthcare professionals to ensure every patient receives attentive and safe care.
This position serves as a vital support role within our Med/Surg department, focusing on delivering essential nursing care services to patients. As a Clinical Partner, you will assist in performing a variety of tasks delegated by the Registered Nurse in charge, acting as a key link in the patient care continuum.
Your day involves initiating delegated tasks based on your demonstrated competence for specific patient age groups. You will collect and document critical data for admission assessments, reassessments, and scheduling, ensuring the RN and LPN have accurate information to analyze patient responses to treatment. In an inpatient setting, you will be the eyes and ears on the floor, monitoring patient behavior and physical condition, answering call lights, and assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, feeding, ambulating, and hygiene care. You will also perform specific clinical duties like vital signs, dressing changes, and specimen collection.
Beyond direct patient care, you will help maintain a safe and efficient environment by stocking supplies, managing equipment, and assisting with clerical duties like transcribing orders and organizing medical records. In outpatient areas, you will manage referrals and assist patients aged three and older. This role requires a constant state of alertness to ensure patient safety and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of a hospital environment.
Candidates must complete a state-approved unlicensed assist personnel program (UAP) or meet exempted UAP guidelines. If hired in Oklahoma or Wisconsin, successful completion of the Clinical Partner I orientation checklist during the 90-day orientation period is required. A Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
