At SSM Health Verona Clinic, we believe that healthcare is more than a career—it is a calling. Our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality care to our community, ensuring that every patient receives the attention and expertise they deserve. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a vital role in supporting patient diagnosis and treatment through precise laboratory analysis.
As a Clinical Lab Technician, you will serve as a critical link between patient samples and medical decision-making. Working under general direction, your primary focus is to interpret and report test results with accuracy and care. You will perform a full range of laboratory analyses, from routine blood tests to complex chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic examinations, using established procedures and protocols.
Your day-to-day responsibilities involve operating complex electronic equipment, computers, and precision instruments while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy. You will communicate findings directly to physicians, escalate unusual or critical results immediately, and assist providers in selecting appropriate lab tests. Beyond technical execution, you will ensure the safety and integrity of the lab by performing preventive maintenance, managing hazardous materials, and participating in quality control and proficiency testing programs. This role requires a constant state of alertness and a commitment to safety in a dynamic clinical environment.
We value our exceptional employees and offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your needs. Eligible team members enjoy paid parental leave for newborns or newly adopted children, flexible payment options through DailyPay for instant access to earned wages, and upfront tuition coverage through the FlexPath Funded program. Additionally, qualified individuals may be eligible for a one-time sign-on bonus with a two-year service commitment.
