About the Role
As a Charge Nurse at Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA), you will serve as a vital leader in our mission to support patient care, uphold core values, and maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence. This role is designed to ensure the continuity of safe, effective, and cost-efficient dialysis operations while fostering a culture of compliance with all regulatory and facility policies.
In this position, you will manage daily decision-making to prioritize patient and staff safety. You will act as a subject matter expert and resource for your team, guiding direct patient care staff through their daily routines, from administering medications and monitoring patient conditions to managing emergency situations. Your day involves balancing clinical oversight with operational leadership, ensuring that patient care plans are executed effectively and that the facility remains a safe, clean, and compliant environment.
You will play a key role in the professional development of your team by providing ongoing feedback, participating in hiring and training processes, and leading monthly staff meetings to keep everyone informed of changes in patient care needs. By collaborating with the Facility Administrator and the care team, you will help drive quality outcomes and ensure that both patients and their families receive comprehensive education on End Stage Renal Disease and dialysis therapy.
