As a Charge Nurse at FMCNA, you play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining cost-effective clinical operations. You will serve as the primary leader for your shift, managing daily decisions to ensure continuity of care, patient safety, and staff safety. This position acts as the bridge between the Facility Administrator and the direct patient care team, ensuring that all clinical activities align with regulatory requirements, FMS policies, and our core values.
In this role, you will be the subject matter expert and a key resource for your team. Your day involves guiding direct patient care staff, overseeing the administration of dialysis treatments, and responding to emergency situations. You will collaborate closely with the care team to make decisions that benefit patient outcomes, monitor patient conditions for potential complications, and ensure that patient education regarding End Stage Renal Disease and therapy is effectively delivered.
Patient safety and regulatory compliance are at the heart of our operations. As the Charge Nurse, you are responsible for ensuring adherence to all company and facility-approved procedures, as well as state and federal regulations. You will actively promote OSHA programs to maintain a safe and clean working environment and ensure the safe operation of all dialysis and emergency equipment. Your oversight extends to the accurate documentation of patient information and the supervision of short and long-term care plans.
Candidates selected for this role will be required to pass the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment; however, failing this test does not automatically preclude employment, as the Company will consider reasonable accommodations. The interview process will assess your clinical expertise, supervisory capabilities, and alignment with our culture.
