The Clinic Nurse Manager serves as a pivotal leader within the Oncology Department at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, overseeing the clinical management of Primary Practice Programs (PPM) that serve patients throughout St. Lawrence County, New York. This role is designed to bridge the gap between clinical excellence and operational efficiency, ensuring high-quality care delivery for outpatient populations.
You will work in a collaborative dyad relationship with Practice Managers and Coordinators, providing supervision and support to a diverse team including clinical care coordinators, LPNs, and MAs. A key aspect of this position involves partnering with key function leaders at St. Lawrence Health (SLH), such as the Directors of Quality, Patient Safety, and Patient Experience, to drive continuous improvement in clinical standards.
In this capacity, you will act as the primary resource for accreditation compliance, specifically for Det Norske Veritas (DNV), CMS, and New York State Department of Health regulations. Your day-to-day impact includes fostering a culture of safety, managing quality audits, and serving as a Super User for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to support workflow improvements. You will also play a vital role in standardizing infusion practices across the SLH system and assisting inpatient nursing leadership with the administration of chemotherapeutic and biological agents.
At St. Lawrence Health, we are committed to integrating our mission and core values into every aspect of clinical service. We strive to create a professional environment where patients, providers, and staff are valued. This role offers the opportunity to develop innovative healthcare programs, such as Chronic Care Management and Transitional Care Services, that directly address the unique needs of our community.
