As an Elementary Classroom Instructor at Fayette County Public Schools, you will help students learn the subject matter and skills necessary to excel in a global society. Your mission is to create a classroom environment conducive to learning that is appropriate to the maturity and interests of your students. You will guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, employing a variety of instructional techniques and media consistent with the needs of your student groups.
In this role, you will plan programs of study that meet individual student needs, interests, and abilities. You will assess student accomplishments regularly, diagnose learning disabilities, and provide progress reports. Beyond the classroom, you will maintain accurate records, supervise instructional aides and volunteers, and serve as a resource for students and parents outside of instructional hours. You are also expected to demonstrate the ability to communicate in more than one language or the willingness to learn at a novice level.
