Wiley|Wilson is a full-service architecture-engineering firm dedicated to creating innovative and functional design solutions for government, institutional, and private-sector clients worldwide. As a 100% employee-owned firm, our culture is defined by shared success; over 190 dedicated employee-owners across five locations (Alexandria, Lynchburg, and Richmond in Virginia; Raleigh in North Carolina; and Atlanta in Georgia) share a stake in the company through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This unique ownership model, combined with a focus on service and engagement, fosters a distinct environment where professional growth and collaboration thrive.
We are inviting early-career professionals to join our Civil Engineering team in our Virginia or North Carolina offices. As a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT), you will contribute to the design of civil systems—including grading, drainage, hydrology, and utilities—for a diverse portfolio of local, federal, and state government projects. Working under the guidance of licensed engineers, you will gain exposure to multiple markets and geographies, expanding your knowledge and deepening your skills in building systems design.
Your day-to-day will involve preparing stormwater management calculations, reports, and design drawings, participating in field investigations, and performing construction administration services. We are looking for an independent self-starter who can navigate efficiently through various design stages, from concept plans to construction documents, while bringing strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with peers and clients.
Candidates with 2-4 years of experience and an EIT certification are encouraged to apply. Please note that eligibility to work in the United States and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required for this position.
We prioritize work-life balance and professional development, offering a hybrid work schedule and generous benefits. Wiley|Wilson is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE/AAP) committed to a drug-free workplace. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, disability status, or veteran status, and we provide accommodations for individuals with disabilities in roles requiring travel.
