About the Role

LSF is seeking talented Child Welfare Case Managers to make a tangible impact in the lives of others. In this role, you will provide full wrap-around case management services to clients and families, establishing meaningful relationships while living the agency's core values. You will serve as the integrator of all services and supports identified for each child, including therapy, mental health services, health and dental care, developmental services, and educational support.

Your day-to-day work involves collaborating with parents, Guardians Ad Litem, foster parents, and other pertinent parties to develop case plans aimed at reunification or other permanency for the child. You will conduct home visits, safety assessments, and court proceedings, ensuring that every child receives the necessary care and support. This position requires a high level of energy and adaptability, as you will navigate irregular hours, rotate on-call duties, and travel throughout the state to meet the needs of families.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleAccept assigned cases and meet with children within 2 working days of staffing
  • check_circleDocument all case activities in the Florida Safe Families Network database within 48 hours
  • check_circleSubmit service requests and provide timely referrals to community resources for clients
  • check_circleComplete and submit court documentation and attend all required court activities
  • check_circleConduct child safety and family functioning assessments and prepare safety plans
  • check_circleConduct diligent searches for parents and family members when deemed necessary
  • check_circleConduct home studies for prospective placements and facilitate parental visits
  • check_circleProvide direct supervision of children awaiting placement and transport children as needed
  • check_circleConduct child visits at least once every 25 days including quarterly unannounced visits
