The Child Welfare Case Manager is a pivotal role designed to provide full wrap-around case management services to clients and families. This position is about more than just managing cases; it is about establishing genuine relationships while living out the agency's core values. You will act as the integrator of all services and supports identified for each child, including therapy, mental health services, health and dental care, developmental services, educational support, and permanency planning.
In this role, you will collaborate with parents, Guardians Ad Litem, foster parents, and other pertinent parties to develop case plans aimed at reunification or other permanency outcomes. You will navigate the complexities of the dependency court system, manage emergency placements, and facilitate parental and sibling visits. The work requires a high level of adaptability, as you will often travel throughout the state to meet children in their primary residences, conduct home studies, and transport children as needed.
