About Lutheran Services Florida

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) envisions a world where children are safe, families are strong, and communities are vibrant. As a mission-driven organization, LSF operates 60 programs across the state of Florida, serving a wide range of populations in need. Our staff members become part of a supportive community dedicated to transforming the lives of those they serve while finding personal growth opportunities within the organization.

About the Role

The Child Welfare Case Manager is a pivotal role designed to provide full wrap-around case management services to clients and families. This position is about more than just managing cases; it is about establishing genuine relationships with families while living out the agency's core values of courtesy, teamwork, and safety. The Case Manager acts as the integrator of all services and supports identified for each child, including therapy, mental health services, health and dentistry, developmental services, and educational support.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with parents, Guardians Ad Litem, foster parents, and other pertinent parties to develop case plans aimed at reunification or other permanency for the child. You will navigate the complexities of the dependency court system, manage emergency placements, and facilitate parental and sibling visits. The work requires a high level of adaptability, as you will travel throughout the state to visit children in their primary residences, conduct home studies, and ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable youth.

Why Join Us?

Working at LSF means joining a team that is deeply committed to its mission. Staff members find meaningful work in a culture that values growth, offering opportunities to explore areas of interest within the organization. We provide a supportive environment where you can make a tangible impact on the lives of children and families in Florida.

Hiring Process & Application

Interested candidates should submit their application through the LSF career portal. Please note that Lutheran Services Florida is mandated to perform background screenings for employment in accordance with the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. All job vacancy postings include a link to the AHCA Clearinghouse website for further information on these requirements.

Equal Opportunity & Culture

LSF is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background and are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We require all employees to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs of our service population. As a mandated employer, we ensure all applicants are aware of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws and provide the "Know Your Rights" notice from the Department of Labor.
