Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) is dedicated to strengthening the military community by providing essential resources and support to service members, veterans, and their families. Our Child Development Centers serve as vital hubs for military families, offering a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. We are committed to fostering a culture where every family feels supported, and every child thrives.
The Child Care Director (Executive Director) is the strategic leader responsible for the holistic operation of the Child Development Center. This role goes beyond daily management; it is about championing a mission that directly impacts the well-being of military families. You will serve as the primary advocate for families, ensuring seamless access to resources, including specialized support for speech therapy, occupational therapy, and the integration of IFSP/IEP plans.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with Assistant Directors to maintain the integrity of the "Early Learning Matters" curriculum and ensure all activities reflect best practices for inclusive learning. Your day will involve balancing the center's financial health with the emotional needs of the community, managing staff development, and cultivating strong partnerships with parents and the broader military community. You will foster an atmosphere of positive communication, leading the Parent Board and ensuring the center meets or exceeds enrollment goals through strategic marketing.
ASYMCA utilizes a streamlined recruitment process designed to be efficient and respectful of your time. We employ minimal artificial intelligence technology in our initial stages, strictly coupled with human review to ensure fairness and accuracy. Our hiring teams thoroughly evaluate skills and qualifications, making all final hiring decisions based on a comprehensive assessment of your fit for our mission. We encourage applicants to reach out with any questions regarding the process.
Armed Services YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to providing a work environment free of discrimination and harassment, making all employment decisions based on business needs and individual qualifications without regard to race, color, religion, family status, or any other protected characteristic. We actively encourage applicants of all ages and specifically welcome military spouses, veterans, and military-affiliated job seekers to apply. Our goal is to build a diverse team that reflects the communities we serve.
