As an Educational Support Professional, you will serve as a vital partner to classroom teachers in delivering the district curriculum across General Education, Special Education, ELL, Early Childhood, and Computer Lab settings. Your primary function is to perform duties that increase student learning and achievement by supporting instruction in academic, social, and motor skills.
Working under the direction of the classroom teacher, you will help create a learning environment that is both physically and emotionally safe. Whether working with small groups, assisting with differentiated instruction, or managing computer lab resources, your role is to bring flexibility and adaptability to an ever-changing educational landscape. You will act as a bridge between the teacher and the student, providing timely feedback on progress and ensuring that Individual Education Plans are supported effectively.
In specific assignments, such as the computer lab, you will take ownership of equipment and software inventory while guiding targeted students through basic skills programs. In early childhood or special education contexts, you may assist with activities of daily living, ensuring every student feels supported and cared for.
Chicopee Public Schools values a diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve.
