Bridges Public Charter School is dedicated to providing an exemplary educational program that includes all students. Our developmentally appropriate, student and family-centered approach nurtures learners to expand their developmental skills, building a foundation for life-long learning. Rooted in the core values of Responsibility, Engagement, Acceptance, Creativity, and Honesty, we strive to create a community where every child is prepared to pave their own path.
Our Graduate Profile envisions a unique, independent individual who self-advocates, welcomes diversity with openness and respect, demonstrates empathy, and perseveres through challenges to meet their academic and social goals. We are committed to preparing every student for the next steps after leaving Bridges.
We are seeking a passionate Dedicated Aide (DA) to support students with special needs in our inclusion and non-categorical self-contained classrooms for grades Pre-K3 through 5th grade. This role is vital to our mission of building an inclusive school community where students with autism, pervasive developmental disorder (PDD), developmental delays, intense behavioral challenges, and multiple learning problems thrive.
As a Dedicated Aide, you will be a key member of the teaching team, assisting with specialized instruction and related services. You will work under the supervision of a certified BCBA practitioner, implementing classroom-based ABA/VB principles to guide instruction and classroom management. While prior ABA or VB experience is desired, it is not required; comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are equipped to support our diverse student population.
Your day will involve collaborating closely with Lead Teachers, special education service providers, and families to address student needs. You will help implement care plans, assist with Adaptive Daily Living Skills (ADLS), and maintain a safe, positive environment that nurtures the emotional, cognitive, and social abilities of our students. You will also play an active role in our Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings and contribute to a culture of inclusion and respect.
We are looking for committed individuals who recognize the position of public trust and are held to a high standard of personal and professional conduct. If you are a dedicated educator passionate about creating a culture of inclusion and respect, we invite you to join us in making a difference in the lives of our students.
To ensure the safety of all students, all staff members are subject to fingerprinting and background checks prior to employment. We look forward to reviewing your application and potentially welcoming you to the Bridges family.
