As a Surgical Technician in the Operating Room at SRMC, you will play a vital role in delivering safe and effective patient care within a Level I Trauma Hospital. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will be an integral part of the sterile team, assisting surgeons across a diverse range of specialties including Vascular, Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Orthopedics, and more. Your day-to-day involves preparing the surgical environment, maintaining sterile fields, managing instruments, and collaborating closely with the nursing team to ensure seamless clinical decision-making and patient safety.
This position offers the opportunity to work with patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatric adults, in a dynamic environment that demands precision, adaptability, and a proactive approach to safety. You will also have the chance to serve as a preceptor, guiding the next generation of surgical professionals while continuing your own growth through educational programs and in-services.
We offer competitive shift differentials to recognize the demands of your schedule: 17% for weekday nights, 26% for weekend nights, and 15% for weekend days. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. Compensation is determined by factors including experience, education, and organizational needs.
