About the Role
The Residential Driver is the frontline of our waste removal services, dedicated to safely, efficiently, and courteously serving our customers. This role is essential for maintaining community cleanliness and environmental standards, ensuring that solid waste and recyclables are collected from curbside and backdoor locations and transported to post-collection facilities with precision.
As a key member of the operations team, you will manage assigned routes while upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Your day involves operating side-load or rear-load trucks, managing equipment to compact waste, and interacting with the public to represent our company's values. Whether navigating tight residential streets or coordinating with helpers, your focus remains on route quality, vehicle maintenance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLoad solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables into the rear or side of the collection vehicle
- check_circleCompact trash into the vehicle using prescribed truck equipment and techniques
- check_circleOperate residential waste collection trucks and hydraulic systems to collect solid waste and recyclables
- check_circleConduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete daily route documentation
- check_circleIdentify and remove prohibited waste items from customer carts or cans
- check_circleManage assigned helpers and coordinate with supervisors to improve routing efficiencies
- check_circleMaintain vehicle cleanliness by cleaning the cab interior and exterior daily
- check_circleReport all accidents, incidents, and vehicle mechanical problems immediately to supervisors
Requirements
