About the Role

We are seeking CDL-A drivers to join our fleet on a variety of routes, including Over-the-Road (OTR), Regional, and Dedicated options. Whether you are looking for multiple home time options or a specific route structure, this role offers the flexibility to fit your lifestyle. You will be operating in a no-touch freight environment, handling dry van loads with drop-and-hook capabilities. Our drivers operate the latest Kenworth, Freightliner, and International tractors, which are tuned to run at 68 MPH across a 48-state operating area.

Hiring Process

We make the transition to Heartland Express seamless with a paid orientation program held every Tuesday at our state-of-the-art headquarters in North Liberty, IA. During this orientation, you will receive breakfast and lunch, and transportation reimbursement is available (some exclusions apply). By the end of the week, typically by Friday, you will be assigned your truck and ready to hit the road.
