About the Role

This position is dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. You will establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return, while demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

As a Cashier/Checker, you will be the face of the store, responsible for being visible and actively greeting, engaging, and assisting customers. Your role involves processing transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently while handling various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and loyalty offers. You will also ensure compliance with food safety regulations, restricted sale item guidelines, and company policies regarding cash handling and loss prevention.

Beyond the register, you will create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel important and appreciated by answering questions about products throughout the store. You will work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflict in a nonconfrontational manner and supporting a diverse range of customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
