About the Role
Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. As a Cashier or Checker, you will be the face of the store, responsible for being visible and actively greeting, engaging, and assisting customers. You will process transactions quickly and accurately while handling various payment methods, including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and WIC.
Beyond the register, you play a vital role in establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. You will reinforce safety programs, adhere to food safety regulations, and ensure the store remains a welcoming place where customers feel important and appreciated. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProcess customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane
- check_circleReport pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and stay current with store ads
- check_circleAnswer customer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store
- check_circleProvide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- check_circleHandle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and WIC
- check_circleAdhere to company policies regarding restricted sale items like alcohol and tobacco
- check_circleFollow food safety regulations and reinforce safety programs by identifying unsafe conditions
- check_circleManage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner
- check_circlePerform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting items needing repair
Requirements
