About the Role
We are looking for a Cashier/Checker to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. In this role, you will establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. You will be the face of our store, responsible for being visible and actively greeting, engaging, and assisting customers to create an environment where they feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
Your day will involve processing customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently. You will handle various forms of payment, including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and complex loyalty offers, while adhering to company policies on restricted sale items and loss control. Beyond the register, you will stay current with seasonal ads, report pricing discrepancies, and ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and local laws. You will also practice preventive maintenance on equipment and reinforce safety programs by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleReport pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and follow coupon procedures
- check_circleManage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner while assisting diverse customers
- check_circleAnswer customer questions regarding products and create a welcoming shopping experience
- check_circleOperate the Point of Sale system to handle various payment methods including cash, checks, and EBT
- check_circleMaintain a safe and clean environment by identifying unsafe conditions and reporting repairs
Requirements
