About the Role

As a Retail Team Member at G&M, you will be the face of our brand, dedicated to providing exceptional customer service that aligns with our corporate standards. This position is vital to creating a friendly, safe, and clean environment for both our customers and our team. You will work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, multitasking to ensure smooth store operations while upholding the highest levels of safety and service.

Day in the Life

Your day will be a blend of customer interaction, operational precision, and store maintenance. You will operate the POS system and fuel console with accuracy, handling cash, credit cards, and various payment types while adhering to strict company policies for alcohol, tobacco, and lottery sales. Beyond the register, you will actively engage in sales promotions and suggestive selling to build lasting customer relationships.

You will also play a key role in food preparation and maintenance, whether brewing fresh coffee, managing the condiment bar, or preparing hot food items. Maintaining the store's appearance is a shared responsibility; you will ensure the facility is free of litter and spills, sanitize equipment, and keep counters and restrooms spotless. Depending on your shift, you may also assist with receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, or performing deep cleaning tasks to prepare the store for the next day's rush.

Hiring Process

Candidates must demonstrate excellent computer skills, particularly with the PDI Enterprise POS system, and possess strong interpersonal abilities. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, along with the ability to communicate effectively in English. We look for individuals who can learn tasks quickly and work with minimal supervision. Open availability to work all shifts, including nights and weekends, is essential, as is the ability to work at the home store or other locations within the district as needed.
