As a Caregiver at REM West Virginia, you will join a mission-driven team to help people grow, learn, and live well. This role is about developing real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve while providing support in group homes or waiver settings. You will be entrusted with ownership and trust to do what is right for participants, taking the initiative to help them engage in the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
Your day-to-day impact involves supporting participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition. You will assist with personal care, including eating, dressing, bathing, and toileting, while helping individuals navigate behavioral challenges and complex needs, including autism. Whether working a daytime or overnight shift, you will find meaning in this work if you are compassionate, patient, and reliable.
