You will join a team that creates relationships to motivate us all every day. In this role, you will provide direct support within a residential program or unit, typically assisting 4 to 6 individuals (or up to 10 in periodic programs). Your day will involve fostering socialization, supporting behavioral development, and assisting with daily activities such as personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, and community integration. You will also manage individual assets, maintain accurate records, and ensure the safety and well-being of those you serve by administering medications, preparing meals, and accompanying individuals to medical appointments when necessary.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license in good standing. All applicants are required to undergo a criminal background check, including checks against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI). Additionally, all employees hired after June 15, 2018, must submit to drug testing prior to employment and may be subject to random or for-cause testing. Successful candidates must complete all state-required training and certifications within mandated timeframes.
