REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For over 50 years, Sevita has been a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care, serving 50,000 individuals across the U.S. with a mission to help everyone live a full, more independent life. Our team of 40,000 members continues to innovate and enhance care, regardless of the physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges our participants face.
As a Caregiver at REM West Virginia, you will join a mission-driven team where every person has the right to live well. This role is about more than just tasks; it is about developing real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve. You will be entrusted with ownership and trust to do what is right for participants, helping them grow, learn, and live well.
Your day will involve supporting participants with a variety of needs, including autism and related conditions. You will assist with developmental goals such as budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition, while also providing support for personal hygiene and behavioral challenges. Whether in a waiver home or a group home, you will take the initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities. If you are compassionate, patient, and find meaning in this type of work, you will find a promising future here.
