Childrens Hospital of Michigan is the leader in treating the most children and adults with congenital heart disease (CHD) for cardiovascular care in the Metropolitan Detroit area. A proud member of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC), the hospital has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to children and adolescents in a caring, efficient, and family-centered environment since 1886.
Our Cardiology and Heart Surgery programs are ranked among the U.S. News & World Report's Best Children's Hospitals and are designated as one of two UNOS certified cardiac transplant centers in the state of Michigan. We are currently in the process of achieving certification as a Center of Excellence for Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD). With an extensive team of attendings and a dedicated nursing staff, we provide a full range of advanced cardiac services for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and adults with congenital or acquired heart disease.
The hospital engages in groundbreaking research that has long shaped the science of pediatric medicine and holds an international reputation in pediatric medicine, surgery, and research, training more pediatricians than any other facility in Michigan.
