The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics is a national leader in pediatric medicine. Our mission is to provide outstanding care to the children of Iowa and beyond by being a leader in state-of-the-art clinical care, performing cutting-edge research to find new treatments and cures for childhood illnesses, and educating the next generation of pediatric health care providers. The Department comprises the medical and research staff of UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s top-ranked pediatric care and research institutions and Iowa’s only comprehensive children’s hospital.
The Division of Cardiology provides compassionate, family-centered, and state-of-the-art care to children and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease. We follow patients through their transition to adulthood. Our dedicated staff possess expertise in acquired heart diseases, including cardiomyopathies, cardiac arrhythmias, and cardiac implications associated with pediatric obesity. The division offers the only expertise in electrophysiology, diagnostic, advanced imaging, interventional, and transplant services for children and youth in the state of Iowa. Supported by skilled surgical teams and exceptional critical care, our outcomes are excellent in national databases. We operate a multi-purpose diagnostic and interventional procedure lab that is constantly expanding with state-of-the-art technologies.
As an Administrative Services Coordinator, you will serve as a vital operational partner to the Division of Pediatric Cardiology Imaging Director and other assigned faculty. You will perform administrative work under general supervision, composing correspondence, compiling specialized reports, and coordinating activities that require interpreting complex policies and procedures. This role offers a moderate level of autonomy, allowing you to make decisions that support the daily operations of the office, project, and program. You will be the backbone of our scheduling and credentialing efforts, ensuring the smooth flow of information between providers, external sites, and internal leadership.

This position is eligible for a combination of on-campus (UI Health Care) and remote work. Remote work must be performed at an offsite location within the state of Iowa. Work arrangements are reviewed annually and must comply with university remote work and travel policies. Options will be discussed during the hiring process.
