The Department comprises the medical and research staff of UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s top-ranked pediatric care and research institutions and Iowa’s only comprehensive children’s hospital.

About the Division of Cardiology

The Division of Cardiology provides compassionate, family-centered, and state-of-the-art care to children and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease. We follow patients through their transition to adulthood. Our dedicated staff possess expertise in acquired heart diseases, including cardiomyopathies, cardiac arrhythmias, and cardiac implications associated with pediatric obesity. The division offers the only expertise in electrophysiology, diagnostic, advanced imaging, interventional, and transplant services for children and youth in the state of Iowa. You will perform administrative work under general supervision, composing correspondence, compiling specialized reports, and coordinating activities that require interpreting complex policies and procedures. This role offers a moderate level of autonomy, allowing you to make decisions that support the daily operations of the office, project, and program. You will be the backbone of our scheduling and credentialing efforts, ensuring the smooth flow of information between providers, external sites, and internal leadership.
