MercyOne Iowa Heart Center, founded in 1970, is one of the largest cardiovascular practices in the United States. Named one of the top 50 cardiovascular hospitals by Fortune/IBM Health, the center consists of 44 physicians and offers comprehensive services including General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Preventative Cardiology, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease. The center operates 8 primary office locations and serves more than 15 outreach facilities spanning much of the state of Iowa. With an active clinic research department, Iowa Heart Center participates in major STS registries and performs over 10,000 cardiac interventions annually.
