About the Role

This Business Systems Analyst position functions as a vital member of an Agile team, serving as the ScrumMaster and bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution. You will be responsible for gathering, documenting, and testing clear, unambiguous business requirements using Azure DevOps as a primary tool. The role requires a deep understanding of business processes to communicate system functionality effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

In this capacity, you will examine existing and future-state business processes, data, and systems to guide requirement gathering and test case execution. You will collaborate closely with the PMO's Project Manager to ensure all artifacts and documentation are accurate and updated throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into technical specifications, develop process flows and user stories, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that delivered solutions meet quality standards.

Work Model & Location Requirements

This is a hybrid role based in Lansing, MI. Candidates must be local, located within 1 hour of Lansing at the time of submission. Remote-only options are not available.

• Schedule: The standard hybrid schedule requires onsite presence two days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
• Onboarding: The first month of work requires onsite presence five days per week.
• Conversion: The contract duration is 1.5 years with a desire to convert to a full-time employee with SOMI within 1-2 years. At the time of conversion, the candidate must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship by the State of Michigan.
