Our Fort Wayne, Indiana office is seeking a Sales Account Executive to join a team that thrives on community connections through advertising. You will serve as the vital connection between Lamar and the communities we serve, bringing innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in Fort Wayne and the surrounding areas.
This role is for someone who understands the connection between marketing and sales and genuinely gets excited with each and every sale. As a Sales Account Executive, you will use professional sales techniques to develop long-term advertising relationships that grow not only Lamar's sales but also our relationships within the community. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives in your assigned territory, targeting businesses, and visiting both established clients and competitor accounts.
Your day will be a dynamic mix of office work and field sales. You will spend time in the office preparing proposals, researching prospects using our computer tools, and maintaining organized records of client activity. The majority of your time, however, will be spent in the field making sales calls, servicing existing accounts, and presenting to clients.
You will actively participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows to stay ahead of local and national competition. A key part of your role involves clustering accounts to work them efficiently, identifying potential growth areas, and opening new accounts. You will also handle administrative duties such as maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans and following up on client production orders to problem-solve any issues that arise.
