As a Business Development Tech Executive, you will drive revenue growth for the Staples Technology Solutions (STS) organization by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities. Your primary focus will be on prospecting, qualifying, and closing new customer accounts within designated territories.
You will act as a relentless hunter, executing total sales strategies to move targeted prospects into active opportunities. By positioning Staples Technology Solutions as the preferred partner for decision-makers and influencers within IT and Procurement departments, you will secure contractual relationships in the technology category. This role requires deep collaboration with Staples office products Key Account Managers, Business Development Executives, and other sales teams to broaden customer relationships.
Your day-to-day involves preparing for consultative engagements through diligent research into prospective customers' industries and business challenges. You will communicate effectively with C-level executives at both customer and vendor partner levels, while working with the Sales Support Team to improve response times. Additionally, you will provide strategic input to sales leadership regarding new programs and initiatives.
This is a remote position with a specific regional focus. While the role primarily supports working from home, the successful candidate must live within or adjacent to the region supporting customers in Colorado, Utah, Washington, Idaho, and Nebraska.

5+ years of demonstrated successful IT strategic relationship-building and solution-selling experience in the Fortune 1000 and/or Global 500 market. Experience selling hardware solutions. Highly skilled at creating customer-facing presentations in PowerPoint and/or other various methods. Strong understanding of the IT industry with the ability to recognize, follow, and speak to industry trends.
