As a Business Development Tech Executive within the Staples Technology Solutions (STS) organization, you will drive revenue growth by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities. This role is designed to position Staples as the preferred technology solution for decision-makers and influencers within IT and Procurement departments of targeted Enterprise accounts.
You will operate with a "relentless hunter" mindset, aggressively pursuing designated territories to move prospects from initial contact to active opportunities. The position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with Key Account Managers, Business Development Executives, and other sales teams to secure contractual relationships that complement broader customer engagements with Staples.
Your day-to-day involves deep research to prepare for consultative engagements, ensuring you can speak to specific industry challenges and business issues. You will engage directly with C-level executives at both prospective and existing customer bases, as well as senior vendor partners, to craft solutions that balance the needs of customers, partners, and STS.
This is a remote position with a specific regional focus. While the role is primarily home-based, the successful candidate must reside within or adjacent to the supported region, which includes Colorado, Utah, Washington, Idaho, and Nebraska.

5+ years of demonstrated successful IT strategic relationship-building and solution-selling experience in the Fortune 1000 and/or Global 500 market. Experience selling hardware solutions. Highly skilled at creating customer-facing presentations in PowerPoint and/or other various methods. Strong understanding of the IT industry with the ability to recognize, follow, and speak to industry trends.
