The Building Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC) during assigned shifts. This role is essential for maintaining the safety, order, and operational efficiency of the facility while supervising student employees and programs.
In this position, you will enforce all rules and regulations established by professional staff for both employees and patrons. You will act as the first responder for any problems, questions, or complaints arising from participants or personnel. The day-to-day rhythm involves regular building tours to identify safety hazards or malfunctions, managing guest transactions, and ensuring that all assigned tasks and goals are met by the team. You will also be responsible for managing keys, completing detailed incident reports, and providing facility tours to visitors.
Applicants must be current Washburn University or Washburn Tech students with prior SRWC staff experience. A background check is required for this position. Interviews will be conducted to assess human relations skills, conflict resolution abilities, and the capacity to assert authority within the campus community.
