Southern Energy Management (SEM) is a mission-driven, certified B Corp committed to leading change by using business as a force for good. Named an INC Best Place to Work, we bring a passion for sustainability and clean energy to our daily operations. We value the employment of local community members and actively seek to bring historically disenfranchised voices to the forefront of projects in the field of energy, directly relating to climate justice.
As a Home Performance Field Technician, you will serve as a critical link in verifying single-family homes against energy and green certifications such as Energy Star, NGBS, and LEED for Homes. Your work involves performing visual inspections, diagnostic testing, and collecting field data to ensure new residential buildings meet code compliance and energy-efficient construction standards. You will directly communicate with home builders and trades to help them achieve their sustainability goals while ensuring accurate, real-time data entry into energy modeling software.
This is a full-time field role based around Burlington where you will start and stop from home. A company vehicle and equipment are provided. The role requires working outdoors, in basements, enclosed crawl spaces, and attics. Safety is our top priority, and all drivers receive comprehensive training and support.
We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
