The Building Engineer serves as the frontline guardian of tenant satisfaction and property integrity. This role exists to uphold the Workspace Property Management brand by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring all facilities operate at the highest standard. By maintaining properties in pristine condition and responding swiftly to tenant needs, the Building Engineer plays a critical part in securing long-term occupancy and fostering a positive environment for everyone in the building.
In this position, you will be the go-to problem solver for a diverse range of maintenance challenges. Your day will involve responding to service calls within an hour, handling everything from minor electrical and plumbing repairs to complex HVAC troubleshooting. You will conduct routine inspections of leased and vacant spaces, manage vendor work, and perform hands-on tasks such as painting, gutter maintenance, and roof work. Beyond the technical duties, you will build strong relationships with tenants and coworkers, ensuring that every interaction reflects a commitment to quality and professionalism.
Candidates selected for this role will be expected to participate in an on-call rotation, ensuring 24/7 availability for emergencies. The position requires a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision while effectively collaborating as part of a team.
