As a Building Automation Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader during pre-construction and early project phases. Your primary mission is to translate owner and project requirements into coordinated, constructible Building Automation System (BAS) design-assist solutions. You will partner closely with Engineers of Record, contractors, and internal delivery teams to identify risks early, resolve integration and constructability challenges, and deliver complete, compliant, and commissioning-ready engineering packages.
In this role, you will ensure alignment between contract scope, design intent, and execution strategy while supporting complex projects across a wide range of vertical markets, including data centers, hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, high-rise buildings, and lab facilities. You will be responsible for performing engineering site surveys to gather as-built documentation, verify existing conditions, and identify potential challenges. Additionally, you will prepare comprehensive design documents, including mechanical system layouts, electrical drawings, system integration plans, bills of materials, sequences of operations, and DDC panel layouts. You will also design building automation network architectures to support operator workstations and third-party integration devices.
