The Executive Office of Technology Services and Security (EOTSS) serves as the lead enterprise technology organization for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Charged with driving the alignment of business and technology across the Executive Branch, EOTSS oversees enterprise technology, digital infrastructure, and services. This includes managing the Commonwealth Security Operations Center and an enterprise Standard Operating Environment with a robust information security and risk management framework for over 125 state agencies and 43,000 employees.
We directly serve our constituents by providing digital services and tools that enable taxpayers, drivers, businesses, visitors, families, and citizens to interact with the Commonwealth in ways that are easier, faster, and more secure. We are seeking a driven, passionate, and inquisitive Budget Intern for the summer, specifically for those interested in state finance and budgeting. As a critical member of our team, you will work on a variety of projects requiring data analysis, the creation of presentations for findings and recommendations, and providing input into current and future business processes.
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the public sector while contributing to the financial health and strategic planning of the Commonwealth. The role is designed to help you develop analytical and creative problem-solving skills in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
The primary work location for this role is at One Ashburton Place, Boston, Massachusetts. The internship runs from Monday, June 1st through Friday, August 7th, 2026. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, operating under a hybrid model that combines in-office workdays with work-from-home days as needed.
