Cherokee Nation Defense Solutions (CNDS) is a division of Cherokee Federal, a network of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses. As a trusted partner for over 60 federal clients, our mission is to build a brighter future, solve complex challenges, and serve the government with compassion and heart.
We are a military-friendly employer, actively encouraging veterans and active military personnel transitioning to civilian status to apply. Our team is dedicated to supporting critical Army programs with precision and integrity.
The Budget / Financial Analyst serves as a key partner in the financial management and execution of Army programs. This role is vital for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness of appropriated and reimbursable funds. You will act as a bridge between complex financial data and operational decision-making, utilizing the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and related tools to track commitments, obligations, and disbursements.
In this position, you will coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies—including DFAS, DCMA, and Contracting Officers—to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper Line of Accounting alignment. Your work will directly support the execution of funds across various categories, including RDT&E, OMA, Procurement, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS), while managing critical reconciliation activities like Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs) and the Quarterly Dormant Account Review.
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess an active Top Secret clearance at the time of application. Additionally, due to government contract requirements, this role is restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents; documentation proving citizenship or residency status is required to proceed.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to protected veteran status, disability, or any other status protected under applicable federal, state, or local law. Please note that many of our job openings require access to government buildings or military installations.
