About the Role
The Branch Rental Manager serves as the operational and commercial leader for a specific Ryder branch, driving growth through strategic fleet management and aggressive market expansion. This role exists to maximize rental margin and revenue by ensuring high vehicle utilization while controlling operational costs. The manager acts as the primary custodian of the branch's financial health, overseeing outside sales, customer retention, and fleet planning to secure future market share.
In this position, you will balance the demands of daily branch operations with long-term strategic planning. Your day will involve managing a dynamic team, conducting customer retention visits, and analyzing fleet performance reports to identify and resolve asset issues. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the rental process, from contract execution and cash management to maintaining fleet appearance and ensuring compliance with company standards. Success in this role requires a self-driven approach to navigating a fast-paced environment, where you will simultaneously manage multiple priorities, from hiring and training staff to developing marketing plans that anticipate customer needs.
