About the Role
As a Call Center Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients at PHC's medical and dental clinics. Your primary mission is to ensure efficient and effective communication by answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and routing patient messages to the appropriate recipients. You will provide excellent customer service while navigating patients through the organization, utilizing de-escalation techniques when needed to maintain a supportive environment.
This position is based at the PHC Call Center located at our Administrative Office in Des Moines. It is an on-site role, not remote, operating typically 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Requirements

Nice to Have
Associate degree in a related field. Work experience in a call center, community health center, medical or dental clinic, or in the essential functions of the position. Experience working with patient registration systems and electronic health records. Experience using a multi-line telephone system. Experience working with and/or knowledge of clinical terminology and health insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid.
