Our Pittsburgh client is seeking a Benefits Specialist for a hybrid, contract role designed to support the administration of employee benefits programs. This position plays a key role in managing open enrollment, driving employee education, and providing ongoing benefits support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-focused, and comfortable working directly with both employees and vendors.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolution, ensuring a smooth experience for the workforce. Your day will involve processing enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS and vendor systems, while partnering with brokers to ensure accurate plan administration. You will also coordinate annual open enrollment activities, including communications and meetings, and assist with compliance reporting and audits. A focus on identifying opportunities to improve benefits processes and employee understanding will be central to your success.
This is a 40-hour per week, Monday through Friday role with flexible hours available between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, including a half-hour lunch break. The position is hybrid, located in Pittsburgh, with free parking available and easy access by bus.
