About the Role
As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in helping young adults navigate their recovery process. You will teach coping strategies and emotional regulation skills, empowering clients to take responsibility for their actions and make healthy decisions. By modeling positive behavior, you will positively motivate clients while working as part of an integrative treatment team.
Your day will involve facilitating therapeutic interventions, process groups, mindfulness sessions, and educational groups. You will help clients navigate an interactive schedule filled with education, sports, meditation, yoga, and adventure activities. A key part of the role includes leading clients on overnight adventure activities such as hiking, camping, and canoeing, all while ensuring a high level of physical and emotional safety.
Work Environment & Schedule
This role is based onsite with a unique 7.5 days on and 6.5 days off schedule. During your shift, you will provide direct support to clients throughout the day and into the evenings, remaining onsite for the duration of the 7.5-day period. To support your well-being, meals are provided during scheduled shifts, and staff living quarters are available for leisure time and sleeping arrangements.
