At ABS Kids, we find our purpose in the "wow moments" our clients experience each day as they learn new skills and reach new goals. Our shared experiences are the milestones that influence our work, and the mission of supporting children with autism spectrum disorder and their families feeds our spirit. With every "wow moment," we see our impact grow.
We are empowered by the breadth of our differences. Our mission is to create a culture where all people thrive because their diverse stories are heard and celebrated. We commit to an evolving understanding of diversity as we learn from one another.
As a Behavior Technician, you will join a team dedicated to making a difference in the life of a child. You will teach kids while playing, following a treatment plan specific to each child. Your day will involve observing, playing, and collecting data to write progress notes, helping children learn essential life skills such as motor, social, and emotional skills.
You will work on goals that help shape challenging behaviors into communication skills, utilizing evidence-based methods that are based in science and proven effective. This role offers a clear career path with milestones, rewards, bonuses, and promotions through our LAUNCH program, allowing you to learn transferable skills that open doors to great careers in behavior health.
To join our team, you must have a current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or the ability to obtain one within 45 days of hire. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, playful, creative, and able to think on their feet. Dependability is key, as you will be someone your client and their family can count on.
The position requires the ability to constantly get up and down off the floor and move quickly. You should be tech-savvy, comfortable learning our data collection software, and familiar with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams). We are specifically interested in candidates with a desire to learn, work independently, and provide the best quality care. This role is focused on afternoon hours, starting between 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM, and available until 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
ABS Kids is committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status.
