A leading financial services company is seeking a specialized Basel III Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead a critical short-term project. This role is designed to address immediate regulatory needs by conducting a comprehensive gap analysis and developing a strategic remediation plan for Basel III compliance.
The position offers a flexible remote work model with a strong preference for candidates based in Charlotte, North Carolina, or Atlanta, Georgia who are open to a hybrid arrangement. The schedule follows standard business hours, Monday through Friday, allowing for focused collaboration with the client team.
In this capacity, you will serve as the primary advisor on capital adequacy and regulatory reporting standards. Your mission is to assess the current state of the organization's capital calculations, regulatory reporting frameworks, and underlying data controls. You will identify specific gaps in data sourcing, calculation logic, and reporting consistency, translating complex regulatory requirements into a clear, actionable remediation roadmap.
While the core engagement focuses on assessment and planning, there is potential for the role to extend into supporting the execution of remediation efforts, depending on project needs and outcomes.
Interested candidates should submit their application highlighting their hands-on experience with Basel III capital frameworks and regulatory reporting. The selection process will involve a review of technical qualifications followed by a discussion on specific project scenarios and remediation strategies.
