About the Role

In this position, you will create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Your mission is to establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return, while assisting the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals. You will be the face of our bakery department, ensuring that every customer feels welcome, important, and appreciated.

Your day will involve answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store, offering product samples to help customers discover new items, and recommending bakery items to ensure they get exactly what they need. You will prepare bakery items, including wedding cakes, per customer requests using proper equipment, and decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other treats. Beyond creation, you will check product quality to ensure freshness, review sell-by dates, and maintain inventory levels. You will also adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations, reinforcing safety programs and practicing preventive maintenance on equipment.
