About the Role

This is a high-velocity sales position designed for a hunter who thrives on prospecting and winning net new accounts within a defined territory. As a Staples B2B Sales Associate, you will be the primary driver of growth, leveraging a prioritized call list to engage prospects remotely via phone, video, and face-to-face interactions.

Your day will be a dynamic blend of strategic discovery and consultative selling. You will identify incremental and programmatic needs, presenting tailored solutions that align with the customer's unique business goals. This role is not just about closing deals; it is about building "sticky" accounts that continue to purchase from Staples long after the initial sale. You will work closely with internal partners, including customer support, setup teams, and category specialists, to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and drive compliance for new accounts.

Success in this role requires a strong drive to win and an aversion to complacency. You will view rejection as a learning opportunity, constantly refining your approach based on feedback and industry trends. Whether delivering virtual presentations or engaging in face-to-face meetings, you will represent the Staples brand with professionalism, demonstrating deep business acumen and the ability to function independently with minimal supervision.

Hiring Process

  1. Initial Screening: A conversation to discuss your background and interest in the B2B space.
  2. Sales Simulation: A practical exercise demonstrating your ability to prospect, handle objections, and close a sale.
  3. Team Interview: A discussion with hiring managers and potential peers to evaluate your collaborative skills and alignment with our inclusive culture.
  4. Final Offer: Selection and onboarding into our remote-first, regionally focused team.
